The new launch ramp at Callville Bay will be closing:

The new launch ramp at Callville Bay will be closed starting June 23, 2011 due to the water levels at Lake Mead rising. The main launch ramp will be reopened until further notice.



The National Park Service has completed the new and improved launch ramp at Callville Bay Resort and Marina. The new launch ramp opened May 27th, 2010, right before Memorial Day 2010. For up-to-date information and pictures, please click the following link:

Marina: Callville Bay Marina is the largest on Lake Mead and offers over 860 boat slips. Guest dock overnight tie up's are available for $15 per night. A shuttle service runs between the bottom of the ramp and the upper parking lot. A well stocked general store is open 7am-7pm daily. Food is available 7am-10pm daily in the lounge. Gas is available in the upper parking lot 24 hours a day. Gas on the water from 8am-6pm daily. Boat rental and boat repairs are also open 8am-6pm daily. Houseboat and boat rentals are available year round in the general store. Callville Bay Marina monitors marine Ch-16 from 8am-6pm daily.


Launch ramp: The main launch ramp is now re-opened. A new and improved launch ramp which opened in May of 2010 is now closed due to the rising water levels at Lake Mead. The main launch ramp currently can handle up to six (6) boat launches at the same time.


RV Park: For those who enjoy RV camping, the RV Park at Callville Bay Resort and Marina is a perfect location for enjoying the lake and all of its recreational activities. Five full hook-up spaces are available for rental in Trailer Village for $21.40 night, including all applicable taxes. For more information on the RV Park, please call (702) 565-8958.


Campground: The Callville Bay Campground is operated and maintained by the National Park Service and offers eighty (80) sites with restrooms, running water, dump stations, grills, picnic tables, and shade. The campground is open all year around. RV's, trailers, and tents are welcome. Campground fees are $10 per site ($5.00 with Golden Age and Golden Access passes) and are payable immediately upon occupying a campsite. Fees are posted at the entrance to the campground. Sites are available on a first-come, first-served basis. There are no reservations. Check-out time is noon. Please call (702) 293-8990 for more information.

Directions:

From Los Angeles:

take I-15 North, exit and take the I-215 Fwy East (Henderson). Continue on Fwy East for 12 miles. Fwy will end and turn into E. Lake Mead Blvd. as your approach the 93 / 515FWY. Stay in the two left lanes and continue on as you pass the Fiesta Hotel.  Continue East for 8 miles passing Lake Las Vegas.  After a few more miles you pass the Lake Mead Entrance Station. Make a Left turn 200 feet past the station.  You are now on North Shore road and you will following this road for 12 miles. Make a right turn at the Callville Bay access road at the 11.5 mile marker.  Follow this access road for 3.5 miles to reach Callville Bay Marina.
